Hijri Calendar is a simple, neat, and handy utility that does what its name says: it shows a comfortable, easy-to-browse Hijri Calendar. On “month view”, both Hijri and Gregorian dates can be viewed. Furthermore, events belonging to both Hijri and Gregorian dates are also displayed.

Though rather small, simple, and neat, the Hijri Calendar application is actually quite feature-rich, providing handy additional functions and tools. For example, it also displays the Namaz times and allows setting alarms for different times. Furthermore, it lets you find out the Qibla direction from magnetic north with magnetic declination correction.

I also like that the calendar data file can be transferred between the Windows’ Hijri Calendar and the Android version, making your custom calendar entries portable.

This calendar utility was meant for the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim Community, but it’s suitable and useful for any Muslim. It also comes with a portable version that doesn’t require an installation. Last but not least, it’s also completely free. It doesn’t display any ads or attempts to install unneeded additional software. In conclusion, it’s worth at least a try.
